| Shared note | During his younger years Walter lived at Hatton Vale with the famil y on a farm at Lockrose. He also worked on a Banana Plantation at Daybo ro. In his later years he was a non-denominational preacher, preachin g in both Queensland and Western Australia.
In 1960 he married widow, Joyce Cain who had three children, Ruth (10) , Alan (8) and Coral (6). They moved to Victoria where they lived o n a dairy farm, milking cows, tending pigs at Acheron, and also managin g a small Post Office.
In 1964, the now larger family moved south to buy a 54 acre dairy farm a t Loch. Here they milked approx. 52 cows. The farm was sold in 1986 a nd Walter and Joyce moved to Berwick in early 1987. |
