Fred occupied positions in Queensland as C.P.S. and later as Brisba ne Coroner.

When Fred was a young man he accidentally shot one of his toes off wit h a rifle and so he was not accepted in WW1 for active service. However , he did become a despatch rider (on a motor-bike). This information wa s sourced from his younger sister, Matilda (Tillie).

He and wife (Jessie Sakzewski) lived in a house on the Sakzewski propert y in Fernberg Road, Rosalie,QLD. The property backs on to Beck Street .

Fred died in Royal Brisbane Hospital from a blood clot after an operatio n.
