Death record in parish register - On the 3 rd September 1671, Sunday around noon between 10 and 11 o'clock ,died Hans Kuhnlin, citizen and carpenter here, born in Tiefenbrunn in the Bar on's domain. He was a pios , honest,consciencious, neighbourly man who like d to serve others. He lived in this world for 81 yaers, 31 weeks and 12 day s and spent about 55 years in 3 peaceful marriages. In Unter-Jettingen near Altensteig in the Black Forrest where he lived as a citizen for 27 year s before the war, 12 years as a council member. For 29 years he lived here as a c itizen and 20 years as a member of the town council. He loved God and his wor d and attended sermons diligently. And from Palm Sunday until now he suffere d a great deal in his sickbed. During this time he not even ate one Kreuzer's wort h of bread but often refreshed himself only with a bit of soup and wine and o ften only with fresh water. He was buried on 4 th September.
