Jerg came to live in Endersbach during the "30 years war", which eventua lly caught up with Endersbach in 1634 after the disastrous defeat at Nordlingen to the east . (The Swedish soldiers streamed back to the west pillaging as they went.) Consequently, his ea rly life in Endersbach must have been very trying.

He was 4 times the mayor. He was also a "Gerichtsverwandt" (a member o f the village court).

He was at first married to Anna Friesen. Anna's father's name was Jerg F riesen and was dead at the time of her marriage (6 Feb 1631). The marriage took place in Endersbach duri ng the "30 years war". Anna must have died during the long war.
Many people, including the Pastor fled the village during the war. Th e war hit Endersbach in August 1634. In 1640 the Pastor recorded in the church register a simplfied list of n ames of people who had died during this period. Some other person had kept a record in the absence of th e Pastor. However, Anna's name does not appear to be on this list.

His second marriage was to Anna Werner (single before marriage). They w ere married in Endersbach on 17 Nov 1693. Anna's father (Michel Werner) held an administrative po sition of some kind. Anna had a daughter to Jerg, Katharina, born or Christened on 1 Oct 164 3 in Endersbach.
Anna died on 15 Apr 1646.

His final marriage to Maria Mayer in 1646 lasted long enough to produc e 11 children.

Jerg died at the age of about 60 years. He was obviously a very good ma n as the Obituary in the church register attests. See separate report.
